Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Let me start this off saying.. I HATE regular Cauliflower.  I have tried to like it to no avail.. but this Roasted Cauliflower Recipe is another story. It simply doesn’t taste the same when it’s roasted vs being steamed. It is crispy, sweet, savory.. yummy!! BUT, I least I think, you HAVE to get it dark brown.  I roast it for a very long time, over an hour, to get this. Try it.. I think you will like it! FrugalFreebiesandDeals.com {Read More}

Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

If you have never had crunchy roasted chickpeas. watch out, because they are addictive. The recipe should serve about 3, but you could easily eat them all by yourself (or at least I could). They are very good for you but they are not low in calories, so make sure you share!! You can easily double or probably even triple this recipe with no problems. I have seen lots of recipes for them and made them a few times, but {Read More}

Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Muffins One of my goals in feeding my family is to provide them with super nutritious food in a yummy package.  Just yummy packages are great.. but if there is no nutrition I have a hard time serving or making it very often. Take for instance, muffins. Great breakfast item, right?  Well, not so much when they are made with white flour and white sugar.  It’s pretty much just a sugar bomb, might as well start {Read More}

Homemade Almond Milk

February 12, 2019 by jlpenner 6 Comments

Homemade Almond Milk As much as I love dairy I really think I need to step away from it- I’ve got some health stuff going on right now and in the past when I have dropped dairy it has helped me improve. In reality, despite the controversy, I would really like to be able to switch over to raw dairy. I have a possible source for some raw goat milk and may consider it at some point. But in the {Read More}

Baked Oatmeal Cups with Apple and Blueberry

Have you ever had baked oatmeal? It really is yummy!!.. and different than regular oatmeal. I have been making it for a while now and they other day I had the idea of making it into “cups” this way it was easily portioned out for my girls for breakfast (makes it easy on the hubby, who feeds them breakfast in the morning).  It worked out perfectly and they baked quicker than a full pan.
