Help Me Out!! So What is Flynn Rider???

As some of you know our 15 year old Sheltie, Miranda, passed away in November.  And in our minds “the time of dogs” was over.  But it left a little hole in our hearts, so I started looking for a little doggie.  We thought we might like a Sheltie again, because that ARE adorable, but none were coming available. We wanted a full grown dog, this way I would know if it would be great with the girls (ie let {Read More}

Ways to Save on Your Grocery Budget (When You Don’t Have Time for Coupons)

February 11, 2012 by jlpenner 8 Comments

Shopping for sales and getting great deals is fun. I love it, and it motivates me to do what I do. But the whole process can really be time consuming. When we adopted our girls a year and a half ago, I found out how much time kids take (and how trying to do CVS Extra Care Bucks can be a nightmare experience with 2 toddlers). So something had to give, and I decided it had to be some of {Read More}

Save $50 (Or More) a Month: Pack Your Own Lunch

February 6, 2012 by jlpenner Leave a Comment

Today’s frugal tip is to start packing your own lunch. The savings on this one is pretty obvious- you can probably pack your own lunch for under $1- and unless you are going light on the $.99 menu at McDonald’s you are most definitely going to pay more than $1 for lunch. If you were spending even 4 dollars a day to buy lunch that is going to cost almost $100 a month ($1200 a year)- while packing a lunch {Read More}
