   This is a good idea. And for the most part it works. My mom as "donated" several pyrex pieces for me to sell on Ebay, but they are so darn cute I might just have to keep them. Which of course, defeats the whole purpose. :)

   My mother in law gives me all the coupons that she doesn't use. Although, now I have gotten her into couponing, too, so I don't get as many as I used to get. However, we have fun shopping together, and we carpool to save gas. My parents bring me fresh eggs from their chickens and fresh vegetables from their garden all the time, and my daughters (13 and 5) are always on the lookout for coupons, so its a family thing.
