Vitacost Skin Care Review (Atopalm and Sister Sky)

January 15, 2013 by jlpenner Leave a Comment

A couple of weeks ago Vitacost was kind enough to send me a few Skin Care care items to review.

I received Sister Sky Body Lotion and Body Wash as well as Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream.

Now I am not really a regular skin care user so I don’t really have a favorite brand or anything.  But I have to say that over all I liked these products.

Lets start with the Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream.

•  Paraben Free
•  For Dry and Sensitive Skin
•  Multi Lamellar Emulsion Formula

This unique, paraben free, patented MLE formula, containing plant derived ingredients, mimics the structure of the natural skin lipids and aids in the replenishment of the loss of natural skin lipids in the stratum corneum helping to restore the skins’ protective barrier.

I read on it that you can use it on really dry spots like your heels and elbows. Well, my heels are the driest spot I know. I wear way to many shoes without socks and so my heels are terrible. So I decided to try it there. I have used it for around 1 week and it has made a difference. I have have a feeling if I paired it with a pumis stone or anther smoother the two work work great together.

The Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream doesn’t feel greasy and the fragrance is very light (which I am sensitive to). It is a little pricey at $30 a jar, but it works and should last quite a while.

The other products I tried were the Sister Sky Body Lotion and Body Wash in Kevin’s Cure.

• With Yarrow, Chamomile & Oregon Grape Root Extracts
• Soothes & Conditions Dry Skin
• Lightweight & Nourishing Formula
• 98% Natural Origin
• Petroleum and Paraben Free

These products are designed to comfort & heal the skin. I will say that my skin was VERY soft after using their products. The fragrance was not something I would choose if I were buying the products. But that said it was not very strong after application.

If you want to check out these products and others make sure to head over to Vitacost. I LOVE them and if you are new to them you can get a coupon code for $10 off you 1st $30+ purchase here.

I was provided with the products described above to try for this review from Vitacost.
