Crazy Easy Ways to Save Money On Your Big Game Party

January 31, 2017 by jlpenner Leave a Comment

With Super Bowl Sunday coming up, it’s important to plan strategically and save a little bit of money while entertaining your closest friends! This is a fun and festive time, so you don’t want to worry about breaking the bank when you are cheering maniacally for your favorite team…

1. Consider purchasing discounted party supplies from the Christmas or New Year’s season that match the colors of your team. If you are a Packers fan, then you may be able to get away with a green Christmas tablecloth at up to 75% off!
2. Try baking a cake yourself with a football design. It’s actually quite easy to bake a square cake, and then decorate it with frosting like a football field.
3. Ask all of your friends to do a potluck and bring their favorite snacks. This is absolutely the best way to avoid stressing out about planning an expensive menu, and you can also have everyone contribute to the party.
4. Make large snacks in bulk, like chicken salad, egg salad, or potato salad. Not only is this cheap, but it is a delicious party favorite!
5. If you were planning on ordering pizza, which is a popular Super Bowl choice, instead purchase premium frozen pizzas that taste as good as the real thing, and make them yourself. Many people may not even notice, and as all of the commercials say, it will be better than delivery.
6. Last of all, jazz it up with fun decorations that can be easily found at the dollar store. This way you can spend around $20 and have a serious amount of party decorations at a very low cost. You can use wrapping paper in your team’s colors, ribbons, streamers, and any other knickknacks that you find for only a dollar.
When you put your head into the game, you can easily create a memorable Super Bowl party for all of your closest friends on a budget!
