Donating Healthy Snacks For Kids with Dole Fruit Cups and Squish’ems #shop #cbias #Dole4Kids

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and Dole.

Dole Fruit Cups and Squish'ems #shopI’ve let you all know that my girls, who are 7 and 8 and are adopted from foster care. They came to live with us 4 ½ years ago. It has been a super long road for us and while I wholeheartedly support adoption and foster care, it is not for the weak of heart.

These kids have suffered more than you will ever know unless you have a close relationship with them and helping walk that road with them is not an easy one.

This is why I like to support a local foster care support group in my own community. They make it their goal to support both foster kids as well as the parents who care for them. It’s definitely an organization my family can get behind.

We recently had an opportunity to partner with Dole and Champions for Kids to donate both Dole Fruit Cups and Squish’ems to foster families to help provide Healthy Snacks For Kids to start their school year. Many of these loving families caring for foster kids may not always have enough money so we are glad to help them out in any way that we can.

I wanted to gather as many Dole Fruit Cups and Squishums that I could to donate, so I put the word out to my bible study and the mom’s group at my church. We were able to gather a nice amount for my girls to take down and donate to Straight From the Heart.

The girls love being able to give and donate to kids in need so they had a great time shopping (you can see our whole shop here on Google+) and delivering the goodies. Lol, of course they wanted to eat them, too, but maybe ANOTHER time!!

If you have a local organization that supports kids in your neighborhood you will want to get involved with Champions For Kids and donate Dole Fruit Cups and Dole Squish’ems Fruit Snacks and other healthy food items for kids that my not have access to them.

You can find out more about Champions For Kids on their website, Twitter and Facebook Pages.

To learn more about Dole, head over to their Facebook page, Twitter or Pinterest.

I love this! My church is collecting items for a home and I'll definitely be on the lookout for these to donate.
