DIY Orange Body Butter

September 19, 2019 by jlpenner 16 Comments

DIY-ORANGE-body-butter Looking for a YUMMY Body Butter to use in the shower for shaving or moisturizing?  The coconut oil in this butter will leave you feeling soft and the orange, energized.

Then this DIY Orange Body Butter is perfect for you!

It’s made with ALL ingredients you might find in your kitchen and is a fun project for yourself or a girls get-together.

Also try our Citrus Salt Scrub, it’s a perfect pairing for this project!

I LOVE natural alternatives for beauty products.  It’s nice to know the things you are putting on your body are safe 9and you can pronounce all the ingredients!

This recipe uses Orange Essential Oil.  One of my favorite brands you can purchase on Amazon is Eden’s Garden.  I have been very pleased with their brand and the cost is reasonable.

This sounds awesome, but you should never microwave any of your oils or butters. You kill off the beneficial nutrients in the butters/oils by doing so. It's better to heat them slowly in a double boiler.

Olive oil is considered a soft oil. i.e. liquid at room temperature. Coconut oil is considered a hard oil so I don't think it will whip up quite the same.

I tried your recipe last night. It smells great but when I mixed it with a blender it didn't fluff up and this morning all of it melted and oil was on the bottom.. how can I fix this?
