192_2b834382a649458d443b3200c2956466College was along time ago, but I do remember those days. One of the fun part of going to college is just preparing to go!!

I was so excited to prepare. I remember coming up with a theme for my room, shopping for the bedding and accessories. And even at that age I was quite the bargain shopper, so everything had to be at the right price!! I remember I choose bright colors, blues, yellows and white (which was totally different than the muted colors I had at home!!).

It was pretty and I was excited to start my freshman year. My girls are a ways out, they are only 7 and 8. But I know some of you are getting ready to send your kiddos off to college.

And one of the best ways to save money is to plan!

Walmart has a great service right now called Amazing on a Budget where you can create your own checklist of college needs and say in your budget.

It’s super easy to use:

1) Pick a checklist to start with.
2) Choose the categories you will need.
3) At a price that fits your budget.
4) See product suggestions that fit with your style and needs.
5) Get the products shipped to you or in store.

Amazing on a Budget is a smart shopping tool designed to help you get everything you need on the budget that you have to be college ready.

So of you need the dorm room basics or essentials for your home, no problem! Amazing on a Budget will recommend products that fit your budget and style.

Pretty cool, right? I wish I had that when I was planning.

What was you favorite part of planning for college or is you favorite part with you kids now? Leave a comment.

Thanks to Amazing on a Budget by Walmart.com for sponsoring today’s discussion.
