Candy “Corn”ge Slices {White Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices}

October 18, 2013 by jlpenner 2 Comments

corn-3bsmall2I LOVE these.. and they are delicious! Unfortunately, not that healthy, though. I had hoped to dye the white chocolate with a natural dye, but it was in vain. That chocolate just seized right up and became like paste.

So I switched gears and decided on orange sugar sprinkles, which turned out well!  You could also buy orange candy melts and dip them 1st in the orange candy and then the white on the tip.

These little Candy “Corn”ge Slices are perfect for your fall or Halloween party or just for you to sneak a treat. They only take a few minutes to make and taste just like 50/50 ice cream bars! SUPER yummy!

I hope you give them a try, let me know if you do.

  • 2-3 Tbs. Orange sugar sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large baking sheet or tray with parchment paper
  2. Place white chocolate into a microwave safe mug or glass container
  3. Heat on high for about 30 seconds
  4. Remove and stir
  5. Return to microwave and Heat on high for about 30 seconds
  6. Remove and stir
  7. If not melted return to microwave and Heat on high for about 15 seconds
  8. Dip orange slices halfway into the melted white chocolate (its fine to only dip the front side if you like)
  9. Place slice on parchment covered tray
  10. Sprinkle a small amount of Orange sugar sprinkles into the sender of the slice (I found this was easier with my fingers.
  11. Continue until all slices are dipped and sprinkled
  12. Cool and harden in the refrigerator.
  13. When hard place on a serving tray or in a covered container.
  14. Serve right away or store for a day or two.
