Today is a short tip.. but a goodie! Let me know if you are already or are putting some of these tips in place for Saving on Christmas!
Whether you drink soda or you just know people who do, you can earn a nice chunk of change by recycling cans and turning them in!
Most cities have places where you can turn in cans (and some, bottles), and you get paid per pound of aluminum or even other types of metals. Save what you have at your home and also get the family involved. When you take those brisk Autumn walks, bring along a bag and pick up any cans or bottles you find along the way. Not only will you be cleaning up your neighborhood, but you will be making money at the same time.
Try it at work, too. Most work places just put aluminum recycling out with the rest of their recycling, so why not profit off of it? Clear it with your supervisor first, and then collect cans at the end of each week. Wait until you have a full garbage bag of cans and then bring them to the recycling center. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it adds up.
