Christmas clearance sales are some of the best around.
Christmas merchandise is virtually worthless to retailers once December 25th has passed, so they mark it down aggressively in the weeks that follow. Most places start at 25% off. If you hold out for a few more weeks, you can get decorations at 75% off. You could get an entire year’s worth of Christmas decorations for the price of one full-price decoration.
To get a good variety of decorations, check out lots of different retailers. Garden stores are likely to have outdoor decorations that you can put away for the next, while general stores like Target and Wal-Mart will have a little bit of everything. Look around for stockings, tree decorations, window clings, tinsel, and lights.
Once you’ve bought your Christmas decorations, put them in a large plastic tote to keep them safe and dry until the next holiday season. After all, a bargain’s not a bargain if you lose it!
