100dayshairThis tip could save you around $50-100 a year.

Try getting your hair cut less often to save money.

I have always trimmed my own bangs and that in itself is a money saving  strategy (here is a tutorial for trimming your own bangs).  I used to get my hair cut about every 6 weeks..but now I try to go 8.  Doing this takes out almost 2 haircuts a year. Saving me around $80 a year.  Your savings will vary.

Another tip would be to stop coloring your hair if you don’t really need it.  I colored my hair for a long time and to be honest, I didn’t like it better than my natural color.  So evaluate this for yourself, if you can say the same thing you could probably save $200 a year in professional coloring.

Put that money aside and you have a bigger budget boost to your Holidays.
