100dayspotluckOne of the most important parts of Christmas is spending time with friends. Our lives are so busy that friends get pushed aside all the time! Between work, parenting, and other obligations, time with friends decreases as you enter your adult years. Make them a priority during the Christmas season to catch up, build bonds, and make up for time that you didn’t spend together in the rest of the year.

A Christmas potluck is a fun and inexpensive way to have Christmas with your friends. You’ll want to host it on a day other than Christmas Eve and Christmas—those days are typically saved for family, and you don’t want to put anyone in the situation of having to turn you down. Plan your potluck for a Friday or Saturday night and invite all of your friends. You should take on making the main dish—whether it’s a roast, a turkey breast, or BBQ. Since it’s a friendly potluck, you don’t have to stick to a traditional holiday menu!

Ask each of your friends to bring a different dish. Be sure to ask people to bring side dishes, rolls or bread, desserts, and drinks. Everyone will get to have a nice meal and a fun night without having to spend too much money!
